The work order list
Use the Production screen to track work orders and see which ones need attention.
What each row shows
| Column | |
|---|---|
| Number and name | The order's identifier and what it is building |
| Item | What is being made, with its image |
| Quantity | How many, and how many are done |
| Status | Where it is in the lifecycle |
| Progress | Three separate figures — see below |
| Attention | One flag, when something is wrong |
Track progress
Every order reports progress as steps, material and output, kept separate.
- Steps — how many operations are finished.
- Material — how much of what the build needs is reserved and issued.
- Output — how many units have been received.
Check all three figures. An order can be nearly finished with its steps and still be short of material.
The attention flag
A row carries at most one flag — the one that most blocks the build. In order of severity:
| Flag | Means |
|---|---|
| On hold | Paused, with the reason shown |
| Short | Material is not fully reserved |
| Overdue | Past its planned end date and not finished |
| Scrapped | Units have been lost on this build |
Open the order's Attention tab to see all issues.
An order with no flag is not necessarily fine
The flag catches states Partix can detect. A build that is quietly behind because nobody has touched it in a week has nothing to flag — that is what the planned dates and the Overdue flag are for.
Finding things
Filter by status, priority and assignee, or search by number and name.
The most useful filter for a production meeting is status In progress plus On hold — everything live, and nothing finished or abandoned.
